Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 25, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Ivri Halevi's website, including people with disabilities. The site was made accessible in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773–2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.
What we did
- The email field in the signup form has a visible label, and the consent checkbox is linked to its text.
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone. The focused element is marked with a clear outline.
- Success and error messages in the form are announced automatically by screen readers.
- On the left side of every page (halfway down, or in the bottom corner on phones) there is an "Accessibility" menu (the person icon) with: larger and smaller text, grayscale, high contrast, negative contrast, light background, underlined links, a readable font and a button to stop animations. Your settings are saved for your next visit.
- If your device is set to "reduce motion", the site's animations stop automatically.
- The moving text in the background is decorative only and hidden from screen readers.
- Every social media icon has a text name for screen readers.
- The page can be zoomed to 200% without content being cut off.
- The page language is set (Hebrew or English), and the text direction switches accordingly.
- Text contrast against the background meets the standard.
In September 2026 the site was tested with the automated tools axe and Lighthouse, in each of the accessibility menu's display modes, and no accessibility errors were found.
What is outside our control
The links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok lead to external sites. Their accessibility is the responsibility of the companies that run them.
